Installation

The heating element is easily installed by removing the boot liner and installing the heater pad in the toe of the boot. Once in place, the super slim heating element is virtually undetectable.

Installation is included when you purchase from an authorized HOT foot dealer. If no dealer is nearby, complete step-by-step instructions will guide you through the installation process.

Typical installation time is less than 15 minutes for both boots

 Installation Tips

Installation tips (batteries)

If possible, mount battery pack on the front of the ski boot. This is the least likely area for the battery pack to be damaged. Add a piece of duct tape over the mounting clip inside the boot where the clip is attached to prevent any movement of the battery pack.

Permanent mount clips are available for boots that will not accept the standard battery mounting clip.

Extensions are also available for applications that will not allow the battery to be mounted on the boot. This allows you to put the battery packs on a belt or in a pocket. This will also give you 10% more heat for approximately 15 minutes longer at 0o F or below.

  Installation tips (heater elements)

Remove foot bed and boot liner (if removable). Peel backing from heater element and stick heater onto toe area of foot bed with wires pointing forward. Remove backing from Cambrelle Heater covers and apply to top of entire foot bed and heater element. Tuck excess around edges of foot bed or trim to match foot bed. CAUTION: Be careful, if trimming, not to cut the heater wire.

To run the wire from the heater element to the battery pack, pierce a hole in the toe of the boot liner being careful to not cut any stitching. For rear mounted battery packs, run the wire along the LEFT bottom edge of both boot liners. For front mounted battery packs, run the wire on the RIGHT bottom edge of both boot liners. Use duct tape to tape the wires to the liner to keep it away from all cables, rivets, etc. including the battery mounting clips. This will also allow removal of the liner for drying.

HOT FOOT offers a 120 volt plug in boot dryer that dries out boots overnight without the need to remove the boot liners.

Custom engineered boot heaters for: Skiing, hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling or other winter outdoor activity.
