Thank you
for purchasing HOT foot,
the ultimate boot heater.
Please read the following
technical and product
accessory information.
This will help you to get
the maximum performance
from your HOT foot boot
heater.
| |
|
1. HOT foot
batteries do not
have a "memory" like
NiCad batteries,
therefore they do
not have to be
totally drained
before recharging.
Normal recharge time
is 10-12 hours.
Be sure both battery
packs are in the on
position while
recharging. |
| |
|
2. For maximum
battery life, be
sure to charge the
batteries prior to
storing them at the
end of each ski
season. If
possible, also
charge them at least
once during the off
season. This will
insure that you will
get the full heating
time the first time
you use the heaters
each season. If
not, it may be
necessary to charge
and discharge the
batteries 2 or 3
times to get the
full heating time. |
| |
|
3. HOT foot
heaters
automatically
regulate heat
output. A simple
on/off switch allows
you to turn them on
and off as needed.
For use at 0° or
below, we recommend
that you purchase
our
extension kit #2015
and put the
batteries on a belt
or in a pocket
inside your
jacket. This will
give you up to 20%
more heat for up to
45 more minutes than
the batteries left
on your boots
exposed to sub 0
temperatures. |
| |
|
4.
Permanent mount
clips, HOT
foot #2013 are
available for boots
that will not accept
the supplied
mounting clip, or
for the more
aggressive skiers
wanting a more
secure mounting
system. Batteries
can still be removed
for below 0°
conditions. |
| |
|
5. HOT foot
offers a special
grooved foot bed
insert #2036
(small, medium, or
large) to allow use
of HOT foot
heaters in boots or
shoes that do not
have a removable
foot bed insert. |
| |
|
6. If you should
have problems with
one of our heater
kits, please send
the battery packs
back to HOT foot
prepaid. If
defective during the
warranty period they
will be replaced or
repaired for a $5.00
handling charge plus
return postage. |
